Preliminary analytical study of Ashvagandhadyarishta prepared from madhu and guda as sweetening agents

چکیده
Introduction: Asava and arishta are medicinal preparations mentioned in Ayurvedic texts during which it undergoes a process of fermentation generating alcohol thus facilitating the extraction active principles contained drugs. Ashvagandhadyarishta is type preparation where madhu (honey) as madhura dravya (sweetening agent) formulation. So this study an attempt made to prepare two batches by adding one batch guda (jaggery) another compare their organoleptic analytical parameters. Materials Methods: Study includes followed method per Formulary India. Observations Results: Analytical both was done parameters were compared analyzed including features. Discussion: Both differ properties final product sweetening agents used different. containing has greater values comparatively, infers influence components present guda.
